Ban Chang Restaurants – Western Food

One benefit of having a large western expat community is that there are plenty of Ban Chang Restaurants that specialise in western cuisine. 

Homemade Pizza & Steaks – Great Pizza and Italian food in a casual atmosphere. 

CiaoBella Pizza – Locasted on the Pala Ban Chang road, the restaurant is very popular especially on the weekends when they provide live entertainment for guests. As well as the traditional pizzas, the restaurant offers a wide range of International dishes and Thai dishes. Beer lovers will appreciate a selection of real ale as well as local Thai beer. At the back there is a large walled garden that has an activity centre for kids a well as some fluffy rabbits that roam the garden,

Micasa Bar and Restaurant- Probably one of the better known restaurants for western food in Ban Chang. The restaurant is very well decorated with lots of seating both outside and inside an air conditioned room. There are plenty of foreign options as regards food and it has the added benefit of an area for kids to play while adults enjoy the pleasant surroundings

Berliner Eck – Formally known as Euro Curry the restaurant is located near the top of Thanon Phala. It offers numerous German favourites along with some Thai cuisine. The owner also runs a small deli from the shop offering German sausage and good cheese.  

Ban Chang Restaurants – Seafood

Romson Restaurant Located right Nam Rin Beach, Romson’s is popular with local Thais and Expats. Great atmosphere and some of the best seafood in the area. 

Pompom Seafood (ป้านอมซีฟู้ด) – Great casual seafood place right at the end of Phala Beach underneath the shade of the tropical pines that line the beach. Usually busy with beach goers throughout the day at weekends.

Ban Chang Restaurants – Thai & Asian

Every restaurant in Ban Chang serves Thai food to some degree. Not to mention the traditional street vendors that offer some of the best Thai food imaginable. 

Love Farm (Hydroponic Cafe) ฟาร์มรัก (สวนผักไร้ดิน) – Just a few doors up from Euro Curry / Berliner eck, Love Farm is a Lanna Style cafe of wooden construction. With a hydroponic farm on site they serve up some great salads alongside Thai & Western dishes. Perhaps more surprisingly, the serve a great bangers and mash with a mean homemade onion gravy.  

Phala Pier Cafe – Situated right on the beach next to the pier in Phala. Phala Pier Cafe, serves up good selection of Thai dishes togethjer with many coffe and other drinks options. The place is tastefully decorated and the beach is on its door step. If your lucky yopu may see the friendly pig that walks around the beach, Parking is very limited but its only a short walk from the local Wat which has ample room fo cars.
