Pandora Resort Koh Samet Review

The Pandora Resort Koh Samet bills itself as the hidden gem on Koh Samet, it really does live up to that accolade! It’s also outside of the national park so, if you don’t intend to leave the resort for the beaches at the south of the island there is no need to pay the national park entrance fee.

Set in the hills in the northernmost part of the island, the Pandora Resort is beautifully laid out. The hotel boast two pools on site, with a pool bar and restaurant adjacent to the larger of the two pools. The smaller pool is more of a chill out area, with large padded sun loungers set around it. Perfect for relaxing if you don’t feel like exploring Koh Samed.

The Rooms at Pandora

The resort consists of a mix of studio, 1 bedroom & 2 bedroom apartments. I believe that there is also a penthouse suite on the top floor. The first and second floor rooms provide great views of the gulf of Thailand, perfect when enjoying a morning coffee on the balcony.

Our room was a one bedroom apartment which consisted of a double bedroom, large bathroom with power shower and a living room, complete with kitchenette and balcony. The whole apartment was clean, tastefully decorated, and the whole place had a nice modern feel to it.

Pandora Resort Koh Samet Restaurant & Bar

The restaurant at the Pandora is located beside the idyllic main pool. If you don’t fancy heading to one of the beaches on Koh Samet, it’s perfect for just lounging around while you enjoy some great food and insta worthy cocktails.

During out time at the hotel we managed to sample a fair bit of the menu, both the Western and Thai food were some of the best on the island. Even if you are not staying at the Pandora, I would highly recommend a visit to the restaurant. Highlights on the menu were the breakfast pizza, the homemade burgers and the chicken Massaman Curry, which was one of the best I’ve had in Thailand so far.

If you’re in the mood for a tipple, the highlight of drinks menu are the range of stunning, and incredibly tasty cocktails on offer.
